Arsenal and Barcelona are reportedly interested in signing Aston Villa’s Jhon Duran, a player who has been in excellent form but whose disciplinary issues have kept him out of the starting lineup.
West Ham may regret not securing Duran, who has become a hot prospect, scoring crucial goals whenever given a chance. However, his temper has often been a problem, which might explain why Aston Villa manager Unai Emery continues to favor Ollie Watkins as the first-choice striker. Emery appears to be waiting for Duran to show greater consistency on and off the pitch before entrusting him with a regular starting role.

In just 404 minutes across all competitions, Duran has impressively netted seven goals, which has caught the attention of big clubs like Arsenal and Barcelona. With a €90m valuation, the Colombian striker is certainly attracting interest, especially given his ability to stand out. However, his fiery temperament occasionally detracts from his performance.
At 20 years old, Duran is unlikely to be content with the role of a ‘super sub’ at this stage of his career, and with mounting interest from other clubs, Aston Villa could soon face the threat of losing him, despite his recent contract renewal.
