Martin Keown suggests that West Ham still have the potential to influence the outcome of the Premier League title race by either winning or securing a draw against Manchester City tomorrow.

Should Arsenal defeat Everton, their chances of winning the title hinge on West Ham’s performance against City.

It’s widely anticipated that Arsenal will come out victorious against Everton, and similarly, City is expected to win against West Ham. Both West Ham and Everton have nothing at stake in their upcoming matches.

However, Martin Keown believes that despite this, David Moyes will be motivated to exit on a high note as it marks his final game as West Ham’s manager.

Keown acknowledges that motivation alone won’t secure a win for West Ham and emphasizes the importance of executing a flawless game plan to have any chance of success.

He writes in the Daily Mail:

“David Moyes will not want his farewell to West Ham and perhaps even the Premier League to be an afterthought.

“He will want to go out with a bang. The problem with that is that Manchester City know the title is in their hands and when they get into this position, a feeling of inevitability can follow. West Ham will need to play a perfect game if they are to do Arsenal a huge favour.”

    The Arsenal viewpoint:

While we’re reliant on West Ham’s support to secure the league title, we shouldn’t underestimate Everton, our upcoming opponents at home. It’s crucial for our team to concentrate on overcoming Everton before considering the match against City.
