Wilfried Zaha, the 31-year-old former winger for Crystal Palace and Manchester United, is reportedly eager to return to the Premier League after making a notable impact in Turkey.
Zaha, who currently plays for Galatasaray in the Turkish Super Lig, has been in impressive form, contributing 12 goal involvementsโcomprising nine goals and three assists. However, given his advancing age, he may see this as a prime opportunity to return to English football’s top tier.
Leicester City is actively exploring the possibility of securing Zaha on a loan deal, according to talkSPORT. Zaha missed Galatasaray’s recent match against Hatayspor as he was engaged in discussions about a potential move back to England, as reported by The Athletic.
At Leicester, Zaha’s arrival would address a notable gap. The Foxes currently rely on Stephy Mavididi for their left-wing position, with several other wingers favoring the right flank. If Zaha joins, he could become a key player for the team.
Despite the recent addition of Facundo Buonanotte from Brighton, Zaha would represent Leicester’s sixth signing of the summer if the deal goes through.
Leicesterโs pre-season concluded with a 3-0 defeat to Lens in France. They are set to face Tottenham Hotspur in their opening Premier League match on Monday, August 19.
In addition to Leicesterโs interest, there are also indications that Crystal Palace may be considering a move for Zaha.
