Noah Lyles, the reigning Olympic champion, is cautious about revealing his plans for the 2025 season, citing concerns about potential sabotage from his critics.
In a TikTok video shared on his X account, he emphasized, “I have plans that I canโt share with you right now because the haters will sabotage me.” This marks a shift for Lyles, who has typically been open about his ambitions.
While he previously aimed to win four Olympic medals and break Usain Bolt’s 200m world record in 2024, his season faced challenges.
He secured a gold in the menโs 100m but had to withdraw from the 200m due to a positive COVID-19 test and missed the 4x100m and 4x400m relays.
After the Paris Olympics, Lyles took time off for media engagements and a vacation with his girlfriend. Looking ahead to the 2025 World Championships in Tokyo, he plans to defend his titles but is keeping his specific goals under wraps for now.
