Green Bay Packers’ Win Leaves Tennessee Titans Coach With ‘Embarrassing’ Admission

Tennessee Titans Head Coach Brian Callahan talks with quarterback Will Levis (8) on the field after their 24-17 loss against the Chicago Bears at Soldier Field in Chicago, Ill., Sunday, Sept. 8, 2024.

After three weeks of the season, the Tennessee Titans remain winless following a 30-14 defeat to the Green Bay Packers in Nashville.

This marked the Titans’ worst loss of the season, prompting head coach Brian Callahan to make a difficult admission post-game.

“It’s embarrassing and disappointing,” Callahan stated, as reported by the Associated Press (h/t ESPN).

In his first season with the Titans, Callahan recognizes the need for improvement from both himself and the coaching staff. “I’ve got to be a lot better than I’ve been, and this is frustrating and unfortunate and not what I thought we were capable of to start the season.”

Malik Willis Shines in Packers’ Victory Over Titans

The Packers, missing Jordan Love, saw Malik Willis—former Tennessee quarterback—step up effectively, leading Green Bay to victory. Willis, who spent his initial two NFL seasons with the Titans, threw for 202 yards and a touchdown without any interceptions, completing over 60% of his passes by connecting on 13 of 19 attempts.

In the 2024 season, Willis has accumulated 324 passing yards, two touchdowns, and zero interceptions, along with 114 rushing yards and a touchdown on 12 carries.

On the other hand, the Titans struggled again due to inconsistent performances from quarterback Will Levis, who recorded two touchdowns and two interceptions against the Packers.

One of his interceptions was returned for a touchdown by Green Bay’s Jaire Alexander.

    Conclusion

The Titans face ongoing challenges, and Callahan’s candid remarks underscore the team’s need for improvement as the season progresses.
