Last week, Rangers achieved a 2-0 victory over Malmö FF in Sweden. Philippe Clement’s team aims to secure their second Europa League win against Lyon on Thursday.
According to L’Equipe, Lyon manager Pierre Sage has chosen to exclude Warmed Omari and Tanner Tessmann from the squad for the match against Rangers.
Omari, 24, joined Lyon on loan from Stade Rennais on deadline day, while 23-year-old Tessmann transferred permanently from Venezia near the end of the summer window.
Tessmann has made four appearances, while Omari has yet to play for his new team. Tessmann, who initially had difficulty securing a spot, made his first start in Lyon’s league victory over Toulouse last weekend.
Sage has opted not to include the two summer signings in the squad for the European match against Rangers.
Additionally, Lyon’s Ernest Nuamah did not play against Toulouse but is expected to be available for the game against Philippe Clement’s team at Ibrox.
Rangers come into this match having won their last four games, maintaining clean sheets and scoring seven goals in total.
