Troll Rex Ryan Bold ESPN Prediction: Cowboys ‘Will Get Your Ass Kicked!’

ARLINGTON – If you’re seeking a rational and balanced analysis as the Dallas Cowboys prepare to face the Detroit Lions in Week 6 at AT&T Stadium, Rex Ryan from ESPN might not be the person to ask.

The Cowboys come into this game with a 3-2 record, having won their last two games on the road against the New York Giants and the Pittsburgh Steelers. However, they are considered underdogs against the 3-1 Lions, who are well-rested following a bye.

In an unusual turn of events, the oddsmakers favor the Lions by three points, even though they’re playing in the Cowboys’ home stadium.

Given the circumstances, it wouldn’t be too surprising if the Cowboys lost, especially with key injuries like that of Micah Parsons, arguably their best player, who is sidelined today with an ankle injury. Plus, the Lions are a strong opponent.

So, what is former NFL coach Rex Ryan’s take on the matchup?

“Get ready to get your ass kicked today,” Ryan said, directing his comment at Dallas.

Ryan might hold some resentment, as he once hoped to be seriously considered by Cowboys owner Jerry Jones for the defensive coordinator role, which eventually went to Mike Zimmer. Ryan has even boasted that he could have improved the defense “in a New York minute.”

Ryan’s analysis this time is fueled by “revenge.”

“Detroit’s going to give a little revenge on you and bloody your dang nose all day today, Dallas,” he said during a broadcast.

These teams last faced each other late in the 2023 season, with the Cowboys narrowly winning by one point in a game mired by controversy and officiating issues after the Lions’ two-point conversion attempt failed.

So, while the Lions may be seeking revenge on the field, Ryan—still without a coaching job—may be looking for his own form of payback, given the Cowboys’ hiring decisions.
