Iga Swiatek’s new coach Wim Fissette has identified the main goals for her to achieve during their partnership.

Swiatek has not played since, as she withdrew from the China Open due to personal reasons and not compete in Wuhan as she looked for a new coach following her split with Tomasz Wiktorowski.
Things now appear more settled within her team after appointing Wim Fissette, who recently stopped coaching Naomi Osaka after she joined forces with Patrick Mouratoglou.

What are Wim Fissette’s main goals while coaching Iga Swiatek?
Fissette certainly knows how to guide players to success in tennis, after helping Osaka claim multiple Grand Slam titles.
Iga Swiatek, 23, has five majors to her name, four of which came at the French Open and the other on the hard courts at the US Open.
The Belgian is very impressed with Swiatek’s success on clay, but he is keen to make his new player a winning machine at the other Grand Slam tournaments.
“Our goal is for Swiatek to start adding more Grand Slam titles on other surfaces as well. The clay-court season has its own twists. There are a lot of matches and tournaments played in a short period of time,” he told Eurosport Poland.
“You need to get into a rhythm, gain confidence, and after Paris it’s time to switch to other surfaces. Then there will be an opportunity to work on playing on other surfaces and try to succeed there.”

What is Iga Swiatek’s best result at the Grand Slams except the French Open?
Swiatek has won four of the last five editions of the French Open and has already established herself as one of tennis’ best ever clay court players.
But she has found it more challenging to win at the majors away from Paris, especially on the grass at the Wimbledon Championships.
Despite winning the title at junior level in 2018, the Pole has been unable to master the tournament on the WTA Tour, having never been beyond the fourth round.
Swiatek has reached as far as the semi-finals at the Australian Open, but in 2022 she was denied a spot in the final after losing 4-6, 1-6 to Danielle Collins.
She did win her first Grand Slam off clay by defeating Ons Jabeur 6-2, 7-6(5) to win the 2022 US Open title.
