Getting your Trinity Audio player ready… Two months into the fall sports season, voting has opened for Athlete of the Week round eight. Vote now to support the student athletes representing Lowndes County. Nominated for recognition this week are Iyanis Wallace from ‏Central High School, Lowndes Academy’s Haylon Self and Amari Steiner, student-athlete at The Calhoun School. The Lowndes Signal and Lowndes County Athletics are partnering to highlight our young men and women in the Athlete of the Week contest. Thanks to the help of Calhoun Lighthouse, Lowndes Academy and Central High School, Hayneville and our sponsors Blackbelt Unincorporated Wastewater Project and Hayneville QV, we have an opportunity to encourage student-athletes and reward their dedication.
