In an interview this week with Duane Rankin of The Arizona Republic, Bradley Beal’s agent, Mark Bartelstein, dismissed recent reports suggesting specific teams that Beal would waive his no-trade clause for, calling them “created out of thin air.”

Reports this month have hinted that Beal might be open to destinations like Miami, Denver, Milwaukee, and Los Angeles, but Bartelstein did not confirm Beal’s interest in those teams. He added that he and Beal wouldn’t rule out any options without careful consideration.

“I never operate in terms of absolutes, meaning that we would never say there would never be a trade that you would not consider,” Bartelstein said. “You always keep an open mind like everyone does in all aspects of their life, and so if something was to come around that you were truly excited about, you always have to consider those things.”

Beal is seen as a trade candidate because the Suns reportedly have strong interest in Jimmy Butler, and Beal’s inclusion in a trade package is seen as the most feasible way to make a deal work. However, several recent reports indicate that Phoenix hasn’t approached Beal about any trade discussions, and Bartelstein has reiterated that Beal’s primary focus is on recovering from his ankle injury and helping the Suns win.
