Milwaukee Bucks superstar and two-time NBA MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo has already shared his thoughts on the stunning trade that sent Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic to the Los Angeles Lakers over the weekend.

Following the Bucks’ 132-119 loss to the Memphis Grizzlies last Sunday, Antetokounmpo reflected on the blockbuster move, stating, “nobody’s safe.”

Giannis Antetokounmpo Responds to Luka Doncic’s Goodbye Message to Dallas

On the same day, Doncic posted a heartfelt farewell message to Dallas on Instagram. Antetokounmpo reacted with two emojis: “💯🔥”, showing his support for the Slovenian star.

Doncic’s post has generated a lot of buzz, with fans sharing mixed emotions about his departure from the Mavericks.Although they play for different teams, Doncic and Antetokounmpo share a common background—both arrived in the NBA from Europe and quickly made their mark on the league. Doncic has yet to win an MVP award but came close in 2024, finishing third in voting behind Nikola Jokic (Denver Nuggets) and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (Oklahoma City Thunder).

The Bucks have yet to face the Lakers this season, but they are set to meet Doncic and his new team on March 13 in Milwaukee. They will then travel to Los Angeles on March 20 for a matchup at Crypto.com Arena.
