The Philadelphia 76ers have strengthened their roster by signing Lonnie Walker IV to a two-year, $3.7 million contract. The deal, confirmed by his agent, brings the 26-year-old guard back to the NBA after a stint overseas.

Originally drafted 18th overall by the San Antonio Spurs in 2018, Walker has played for multiple teams, including the Los Angeles Lakers and Brooklyn Nets. Over his 322 career games, which include 88 starts, he has averaged 9.8 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per game.

After a brief preseason stint with the Boston Celtics in 2024-25, Walker was waived and later signed with Lithuania’s Zalgiris Kaunas in the EuroLeague. His contract included an NBA opt-out clause, which allowed him to return to the league when the opportunity arose.

Walker’s arrival is expected to enhance the 76ers’ wing depth, providing much-needed athleticism and scoring off the bench. As Philadelphia pushes for a strong finish this season, his versatility and experience could prove valuable.
