The Dallas Mavericks are set to host the Milwaukee Bucks on Saturday night, continuing their three-game homestand. After narrowly defeating the Charlotte Hornets on Thursday, Dallas now faces a tougher challenge against Milwaukee, especially with key players sidelined.
Anthony Davis (adductor strain), Dereck Lively II (right ankle stress fracture), and Daniel Gafford (right MCL sprain) remain out and are scheduled for re-evaluation on March 6. However, Davis and Lively have been participating in pre-game workouts, suggesting they may return sooner than Gafford. Meanwhile, Caleb Martin is still unavailable, with no updates on his status.
P.J. Washington is listed as questionable due to a sprained right ankle. He had played every game since the All-Star break but missed Thursdayโs matchup against Charlotte. On a positive note, Dwight Powell is no longer on the injury report after appearing in the last two games.
For the Bucks, Pat Connaughton (left calf strain), Pete Nance (left ankle sprain), and Bobby Portis (league suspension) are ruled out. Portis is currently serving a 25-game suspension after, as his agent claims, mistakenly taking Tramadol instead of the prescribed painkiller Toradol.
Giannis Antetokounmpo (left calf strain) and Damian Lillard (right hamstring soreness) are both listed as probable. Antetokounmpo, who previously missed six games with his injury, has played in the last six, while Lillard logged 35 minutes in Milwaukeeโs recent win over Denver.
