Following the Miami Heat’s acquisition of guard Norman Powell, forward Andrew Wiggins could now be seen as expendable. Powell not only brings stronger offensive skills to the table but also comes with a more team-friendly contract.

Wiggins had a rough showing during Miami’s brief playoff stint this year. In the first-round sweep by the Cleveland Cavaliers, he averaged only 11.5 points per game and shot just 37.2 percent from the floor.

As trade rumors swirl this offseason, Greg Sylvander of Five Reasons Sports has linked Wiggins to the Milwaukee Bucks as a team to watch.
“Milwaukee may be another suitor for Andrew Wiggins,” Sylvander wrote via Discord.

Adding more fuel to the speculation, Ethan J. Skolnick, also of Five Reasons Sports, recently revealed that the Heat and Bucks were involved in trade discussions that “came close to something” before the 2025 NBA Draft. The context of his report suggested that Wiggins was part of those talks.

Having already suited up for three different NBA franchises, Wiggins may be on the verge of moving again as his name continues to surface in trade rumors this summer.

The Bucks are actively seeking depth around superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo. Despite adding big man Myles Turner in free agency, the team waived Damian Lillard to make cap space — a bold move that opens the door for more changes.

Should Milwaukee pursue Wiggins, he could round out a promising trio with Antetokounmpo and Turner — assuming neither is part of any potential trade. His presence might give the Bucks a boost as they aim to remain contenders in the Eastern Conference.

Given the growing number of reports connecting Wiggins to Milwaukee, there’s a real possibility he could soon join forces with one of the league’s most dominant talents.
