Jaylen Brown to Grizzlies? Wild 3-Team Trade Pitch Could Flip the NBA on Its Head

A bold new trade proposal could send shockwaves through the NBA offseason. The idea? A three-team deal that sees Celtics star Jaylen Brown land with the Memphis Grizzlies, while Anfernee Simons heads to the Chicago Bulls.

At the heart of the proposal is Brown — a cornerstone of Boston’s recent success, now at the center of potential trade speculation. In a recent interview, Brown spoke candidly: “I’ve made a lot of sacrifices for the Celtics,” he said. “I disagree with a lot of things.” His words suggest deeper tension beneath Boston’s polished exterior.

The hypothetical deal would shake up all three franchises. For Memphis, it’s about forming a new Big Three with Brown joining forces with Ja Morant and Jaren Jackson Jr.. Together, they’d create a highly athletic and versatile trio on both ends of the floor. Brown’s playoff experience and defensive prowess would boost a Grizzlies team that’s already looking to break into the Western Conference elite.

In this scenario, Boston would receive a haul of role players: Coby White, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, GG Jackson, and Santi Aldama, along with draft assets. The Celtics would use the deal to gain salary flexibility and maintain competitiveness while still building around Jayson Tatum. The return pieces are all solid rotation options — particularly KCP as a two-way shooter and White as a scoring guard on an expiring deal.

The Bulls, meanwhile, move off Coby White at what might be peak value, bringing in Anfernee Simons and a future first-round pick. White has shown flashes of brilliance, including a 44-point game and Player of the Week honors. With his contract expiring next summer, Chicago opts to retool instead of recommitting long-term.

The trade balances short- and long-term goals for all involved. But Memphis could be the biggest winner, adding a motivated All-Star in Brown — one who seems eager for a fresh start and more respect. His fit with Morant and Jackson may finally elevate the Grizzlies into true title contention.
