On Sunday night, superstar forward LeBron James put on a show against the Brooklyn Nets, leading the Los Angeles Lakers to victory with an inspired performance that defied logic for a 39-year-old with over 20 years of NBA experience.

James was on fire against the Nets, scoring 40 points and having their fans shouting for him at Barclays Center as he made three-pointers.

Finally, James completed the game making nine of the ten three-pointers he tried, and he appeared to be playing like a 20-year-old rather than someone who is less than a year away from officially retiring.

After the win over the Nets in Brooklyn, James was questioned how much longer he would play in the NBA and made it obvious that he doesn’t have much time left to play professionally.

This has reignited debate regarding James’ future in the league and how long he will play, with his former colleague Danny Green stepping in and predicting that the four-time NBA champion will most likely just play for one more year, according to NBA on ESPN.

“LeBron plays maybe one more year,” Green stated.

Even though Green believes the superstar forward only has a year remaining in the NBA, it remains to be seen whether James chooses to retire, since his body isn’t going down as rapidly as many expected at his age.

That being said, James could certainly play for a few more years, but he may not want to at this time.
