The Green Bay Packers started voluntary workouts this week. It’s officially the start of the Packers’ quest for a 14th championship.

This offseason has been remarkable to say the least. The Packers moved on from some cornerstones and brought in some younger players. When two cornerstone players showed up on the first day of voluntary workouts, it went viral on social media.

Jaire Alexander participated on Monday. On the first day of the Green Bay Packers’ offseason program after missing most of last year’s workouts and missing out on a $700,000 bonus. He was paired with newly acquired Safety Xavier McKinney.

Jeff Hafley is implementing a new defensive scheme for the Packers. Key players include Alexander, a Pro Bowler in 2020 and 2022.

Alexander has three years remaining on his $84 million contract. Training bonuses of $700,000 are available every three years. His contract runs through 2026.

Xavier McKinney just signed a massive four-year, $68 million contract that makes him the third highest paid safety in the NFL.
