The Denver Nuggets secured a Game 5 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Tuesday, taking a 3-2 lead in the series.

Nikola Jokic’s outstanding performance, scoring 40 points, reinforced his claim to the MVP award this season.

Additionally, Anthony Edwards, the star player of the Timberwolves, acknowledged Jokic’s excellence, conceding that there was little he could do to counter Jokic’s dominance in Tuesday’s game.

In a post-game locker room interview, Anthony Edwards expressed his admiration for Nikola Jokic’s performance, stating, “I just laugh. That’s all I can do. I can’t be mad. He’s the MVP. He’s the best player in the NBA. He showed it the last three games. He was special tonight. I have to give him his flowers. He was that guy.”

As Jokic enjoyed a stellar performance, Edwards struggled with his shooting, managing a 5/15 record with 18 points and 9 assists.

With Game 6 looming in Minneapolis on Thursday, May 14, Edwards aims to bounce back and make an impact on his home court against the Nuggets.

Draymond Green lauds Nikola Jokic for his outstanding performance against the Timberwolves in Game 5

Before the game, NBA Commissioner Adam Silver presented Jokic with his MVP award, setting the stage for one of the most remarkable performances in this season’s NBA playoffs.

Following the Denver Nuggets’ comeback from a 2-0 deficit to win three straight games, Draymond Green had some words of praise for Nikola Jokic and criticism for the Minnesota Timberwolves’ defense.

Green commended Jokic for his stellar performance against the Timberwolves in Game 5, asserting that the Joker even embarrassed the Timberwolves’ star defender, Rudy Gobert.

What Joker showed tonight is that he doesn’t fear Rudy Gobert…Yes, it was personal, and he embarrassed the hell out of Rudy Gobert! Draymond Green said On the NBA on TNT show

With just one more win needed to secure a spot in the next round of the playoffs, the Joker and the Nuggets are poised to close out the series. The Timberwolves’ recent struggles only bolster the hopes of both fans and players alike for the Nuggets in the upcoming game.
