According to a report, Olivier Giroud has started bidding farewell to the AC Milan fans following the news of his departure from the club at the season’s end.

For weeks, there had been speculation, but Giroud confirmed yesterday in an emotional interview with Milan TV that he would depart Milan at the end of the season.

As reported by Peppe Di Stefano on Sky (via MilanNews), Milan trained at Milanello this morning after gathering for breakfast. The team is gearing up for their final away game of the season, set to take place on Saturday evening at the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino against Torino.

For Milan, the upcoming 90 minutes won’t affect their position in the table, but for Torino, it could be their final opportunity to secure a place in Europe for the next season. Additionally, it marks their departing head coach Ivan Juric’s last home game.

Earlier this week, Giroud bid farewell to Milan after three years with the club. The French striker will reunite with his friend Hugo Lloris in the MLS at Los Angeles FC.

This morning, as Giroud left the Milanello sports center, he received warm applause from fans despite the rain. He was visibly moved, and according to Di Stefano, he told a fan: “It’s time to say goodbye.”
