Thomas Partey, Arsenal’s seasoned midfielder, is on the brink of a significant summer transfer to Saudi Arabia, according to sources revealed by Football Insider.
The Ghanaian international’s representatives are deeply engaged in discussions to secure a lucrative contract for his transition to the Middle Eastern football scene.
This development follows Football Insider’s initial report in April, which indicated that Arsenal was open to considering offers for Partey, whose contract is slated to expire in June 2025.

Arsenal’s strategy involves channeling the proceeds from Partey’s sale into the acquisition of a younger, dynamic central midfielder. The club is keen on refreshing its squad in preparation for a serious challenge for the Premier League title in the upcoming season under the guidance of manager Mikel Arteta.
Despite Partey’s prominent role since his ยฃ45 million move from Atletico Madrid in 2020, his contribution last season was hampered by a hamstring injury, restricting him to only 16 appearances.
As a result, Arsenal has set a transfer fee for Partey in the range of ยฃ20 million to ยฃ25 million, with a move to the Saudi Pro League seemingly on the horizon.
Among the potential replacements for Partey, Martin Zubimendi of Real Sociedad stands out. Arsenal executives are contemplating a deal for the 25-year-old midfielder, who made an impressive 41 appearances last season, playing a crucial role in Real Sociedad’s sixth-place finish in La Liga.
Furthermore, Zubimendi has been selected for Spain’s 26-man squad for the European Championships this summer, adding to his already notable credentials.
The prospect of securing Zubimendi’s services aligns perfectly with Arteta’s vision of infusing fresh talent into the squad, ensuring Arsenal remains competitive at the highest level.
As the transfer window progresses, Partey’s departure appears imminent, marking a pivotal moment in Arsenal’s summer transfer activities.
