Armando Broja’s potential move to Ipswich Town is facing significant hurdles, making his switch from Chelsea increasingly unlikely.

Initially, Ipswich had struck a deal with Chelsea to bring the striker on loan, with a clause to purchase him permanently if they manage to secure their Premier League status at the end of the season. However, as per a report from Sky Sports News, the deal has hit a snag, with concerns arising from Broja’s medical examination.

Earlier today, reports surfaced suggesting that the agreement was jeopardized by an issue related to paperwork between Broja and Ipswich. However, new developments indicate that the root cause might be linked to a problem uncovered during his medical evaluation, casting further doubt on the move.

The exact nature of the medical issue remains unclear, and there are varying accounts about its impact. Some sources claim it has played a decisive role in derailing the deal, while others are more cautious, indicating that it may be one of several factors complicating the transfer. Regardless, the outcome appears consistent: Broja is unlikely to join Ipswich Town this season.

This development leaves Chelsea in a precarious position as they seek alternative destinations for Broja. The club is keen to offload the player, especially with a crowded attacking lineup and the need to balance their squad. One potential suitor that has been consistently linked is Everton. The Merseyside club is in the market for attacking reinforcements, particularly with lingering doubts over Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s fitness and future at the club.

For Everton, Broja represents a viable option to bolster their frontline. The club has been monitoring his situation closely and could now intensify their efforts to bring him to Goodison Park. As the transfer window progresses, Chelsea will need to act swiftly to resolve Broja’s future, with Everton emerging as a strong contender should the Ipswich deal collapse entirely.
