Arsenal is actively enhancing their squad following a strong start to the season. They have secured a deal for a promising young winger, who could eventually compete with and provide rest for Bukayo Saka.

The team currently has six forwards, with Saka being the preferred option on the right. Raheem Sterling was acquired on deadline day, and Gabriel Jesus can also play in that position, despite speculation about his potential exit.

Arsenal is focused on future planning, integrating younger players like Ethan Nwaneri and Myles Lewis-Skelly into the first team under Mikel Arteta.

This season marks an improvement in how Arteta rewards youth players, as seen with the recent start of 16-year-old Jack Porter in the League Cup and the progress of various Hale End graduates.

    Joshua Sesay

The club has now signed highly-rated Millwall winger Joshua Sesay, who can play on both flanks, joining the under-15s with a clear pathway to the first team. Arsenal has been proactive in ensuring young talents are given opportunities, demonstrated by 14-year-old Max Dowman training with the first team.

In FourFourTwo’s view, Arsenal fans should be excited about the club’s direction regarding youth development, with Arteta willing to provide chances to young players.

Additionally, the Hale End academy not only nurtures talent for the senior team but also contributes financially; over the summer, Arsenal sold Emile Smith Rowe and Eddie Nketiah for more than £50 million, aiding compliance with the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability Rules.
