Arsenal and Liverpool are allegedly interested in signing Bournemouth’s departing star Lloyd Kelly this summer.

Despite nearing the final few months of his current deal, the 25-year-old is yet to decide whether to extend with the Cherries. So, it appears that the Englishman is willing to leave Vitality Stadium as a free agent at the conclusion of the season to pursue his next professional opportunity.
As a result, Liverpool and Arsenal appear to be interested in signing him by capitalising on his present circumstances. According to Caught Offside, the Reds and Gunners are keen in the Bournemouth star and have already made a ‘approach’ to sign him for free this offseason.
However, the article adds that Newcastle United are also interested in signing him, with Kelly leaning towards a move to St James’ Park after being persuaded by the Magpies’ offer. To persuade the Englishman to alter his mind, Liverpool or Arsenal will need to move soon.
It has been believed that, with Joel Matip due to depart the club as a free agent this summer, Liverpool are looking to acquire a new centre-back to replace the African. They appear to be seeking for a new left-footed centre-back, since they have been associated with several names recently, including Goncalo Inacio and Willian Pacho, but Kelly is suddenly emerging as a real target.
Arsenal, on the other hand, are apparently looking to recruit a new left-sided defender after Jakub Kiwior was linked with a move away from the club ahead of the summer transfer window.
Kelly, who is 6 feet 3 inches tall, is a versatile player who can play as a centre-back or a left-back. He is quick, powerful, good in the air, comfortable playing out of the back, makes effective defensive contributions, and reads the game well.
The 25-year-old is a gifted player who, if signed by Arsenal or Liverpool, may be a wise investment. However, it would be intriguing to watch whether the North London club or the Merseyside club can defeat Newcastle in this race if Kelly leaves Bournemouth at the conclusion of the season.
