The Belgian international has reiterated his intention to depart from Arsenal this summer.

Arsenal midfielder Sambi Lokonga has announced he will be leaving the club this summer.

Last week, LondonWorld reported that Lokonga would be among the initial exits from Emirates Stadium following a meeting between his representatives and the Gunners’ management.

Last season, Lokonga was on loan at Crystal Palace, where he faced challenges. However, this season he had an outstanding stint at Luton, earning praise from many, including Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp, for his performances.

Several European clubs have already shown interest in signing Lokonga. He plans to take a holiday before deciding on his next team.

“I think that [my time at Arsenal] is slowly coming to the end,” Lokonga told VOO Sport. “I had a discussion with the club and what was said is that the best solution for me was to leave. “I have a one year contract plus a one year option, so now it’s up to the club and my agent to find the best solution.”

Several players are anticipated to leave the Emirates this summer, including Kieran Tierney, Aaron Ramsdale, Mohamed Elneny (whose contract is expiring), and Cedric Soares (whose contract is also expiring).
