Arsenal’s pursuit of Pedro Neto may have gained momentum after Wolves secured a five-year deal with Braga for Portuguese winger Rodrigo Gomes.
Arsenal’s interest in Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Pedro Neto has grown stronger with Braga’s Rodrigo Gomes set to join Wolves for ยฃ12.7 million.

The 20-year-old Gomes, highly regarded for his potential, is expected to complete his medical with Wolves later this week before signing a long-term contract that will keep him at the club until 2029.
During his loan spell at Estoril Praia in the 2023/24 season, Gomes netted seven goals in 30 league matches, attracting attention from Atletico Madrid. However, Wolves managed to secure his signature, beating the La Liga side, according to the BBC.
Pedro Neto, on the other hand, has been a long-time target for Arsenal’s Sporting Director Edu Gaspar. The news of Wolves bringing in a possible replacement for Neto will likely encourage Arsenal to intensify their efforts to sign the talented winger.
With Wolves securing a new winger, Arsenal might seize the opportunity to test Wolves’ resolve and potentially bring Neto to the Emirates Stadium.
Despite missing 19 games this season due to two separate hamstring injuries, Neto managed to deliver 11 assists in 24 games, demonstrating his effectiveness when fit.
However, Mikel Arteta may have reservations about signing Neto due to his injury history. Neto’s ankle injury in the 2022/23 season sidelined him for 127 days, and a knee injury in 2021 kept him out of action for nearly a year.
Neto is under contract with Wolves until 2027, and the club is unlikely to let go of such a crucial player without a substantial offer, especially considering the ยฃ18 million they paid to sign him from Lazio in 2019.
Arteta and Edu are expected to have a busy transfer window this summer, with Arsenal rumored to be interested in several world-class players ahead of the new season.
