Aston Villa is said to have joined the race to acquire Paris Saint-Germain forward Randal Kolo Muani as the January transfer window kicks off.

The 26-year-old is reportedly on the club’s radar, with French news source L’Equipe (via Get Football News France) confirming that Villa are closely monitoring his situation.
Villa is the latest club to show interest in Kolo Muani, but they will face strong competition from several European giants, including Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United, both of whom have been linked to the France international. Other top clubs like AC Milan, Juventus, RB Leipzig, and Bayern Munich are also said to be keen on the player.
At PSG, Kolo Muani has found himself lower in the pecking order, leading to speculations about his potential exit. A move to Germany is considered the most probable destination at this point. Kolo Muani’s price is reportedly set at €60 million (£50m), although PSG is also open to a loan deal with an option to buy.
Unai Emery has stated that Villa will not sign players unless they can truly add value to the team. He said, “Only if we can get something to really help for the next month we are going to do it. We are going to be alert in case we have the possibility to add to our squad. Always they (V Sports) are very involved with me, us, and Aston Villa. They want to enjoy each moment and how they can support us, how we can improve and increase our level. Always they are trying to share with us the possibility to add or link players for the next month in the window. In January we are speaking about the possibility, but last year was similar, it is not an easy window.”
