Here’s the latest update on the Chicago Bulls following their road victory over the Toronto Raptors, featuring Lonzo Ball’s timely performance, the team’s ongoing 3-point streak, and a concerning ankle injury for Josh Giddey.
Lonzo Ball Delivers When It Counts in Win Over Raptors
Lonzo Ball had a rough start to Monday’s game against Toronto, scoring just three points in the first three quarters. He played 14 minutes, shooting 1-for-8 from the field and 1-for-7 from beyond the arc.
However, Ball stepped up in the fourth quarter, helping to stop the Raptors’ comeback and securing a 122-121 victory for Chicago.

The game required balanced scoring, with seven Bulls players reaching double figures. Nikola Vucevic led the team with 24 points, but it was Ball’s clutch performance that made a difference. Beyond scoring, Ball contributed with six rebounds, seven assists, a steal, and a block.
Bulls Tie with Cavaliers for 3-Point Streak
Chicago may not be tied with Cleveland in the standings—though they’re currently ninth in the East—but they are matching the Cavs in an important 3-point shooting category.
The Bulls hit 14 three-pointers in their victory over the Raptors, marking their 27th consecutive game with at least 10 made threes. This sets a franchise record and ties them with Cleveland for the longest active streak in the league, according to Julia Poe of The Chicago Tribune.
Josh Giddey’s Ankle Injury Raises Concerns
Josh Giddey was having a strong game, nearing his second triple-double in a Bulls uniform with 11 points, nine rebounds, and eight assists, before leaving the game in the third quarter due to an ankle injury.
Though it initially didn’t seem serious, the injury is concerning due to Giddey’s past issues with that same ankle. He previously ruptured a ligament in his right ankle during the 2024 Olympics, which caused him to miss much of the preseason. This was a significant setback as he had to adjust to new teammates and a new system.
As of Tuesday morning, there have been no updates on the injury’s severity, but Giddey’s history with this ankle makes it a situation to watch. Despite not yet making a major impact in Chicago, the Bulls are eager to see more from him as he is up for a new contract after this season.
