The Chicago Bulls’ rebuilding phase appears to be in full motion. After finally offloading Zach LaVine’s contract in a three-team trade that sent him to the Sacramento Kings and De’Aaron Fox to the San Antonio Spurs, the Bulls seem far from done.
Despite LaVine playing some of the best basketball of his career, Chicago didn’t receive a massive return. However, removing his hefty contract from their books was a priority.
Now, with the February 6 trade deadline fast approaching, the Bulls are reportedly aiming to move three more players.
According to Jon Hoefling of USA Today, citing ESPN’s Bobby Marks, Chicago is actively looking to trade Lonzo Ball, Nikola Vucevic, and Coby White before the deadline.
Lonzo Ball’s Future in Chicago Uncertain
After more than two years sidelined due to injury, Lonzo Ball made an emotional return to the court this season. However, his long-term future with the Bulls remains uncertain.
While his comeback resonated with fans, the team seems open to moving him. Ball continues to post solid numbers, and his high basketball IQ makes him an attractive option for teams across the league.
Vucevic Still on the Trade Block
Nikola Vucevic has been in trade rumors for quite some time, but Chicago has yet to find the right deal.
Like LaVine, Vucevic is putting up some of the best stats of his career and has recently been linked to the Golden State Warriors and Los Angeles Lakers. Whether the Bulls can finalize a move before the deadline remains to be seen.
Coby White Drawing Trade Interest
Coby White could also be on his way out of Chicago. The 24-year-old guard is averaging 18.4 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 4.6 assists per game while shooting efficiently, making him a valuable asset in the market.
With the Bulls embracing a fresh direction, their roster could look very different by the end of the week.
