The Scottish Sun reports that Celtic has retained London attorney Nick De Marco in an attempt to save Brendan Rodgers from receiving a suspension for their match against Rangers.
The newspaper said on its website on Wednesday, March 27th, that the Hoops manager would defend himself against the SFA at a hearing scheduled for Thursday, March 28th, at Hampden. The SFA may seek a two-match touchline punishment

after the boss allegedly accused VAR official John Beaton of “incompetence.”
The Northern Irishman would have to watch his team’s matches against Livingston and the Old Firm match at Ibrox from the stands if he is found guilty of the accusations. The fact that Celtic sent in a huge man to defend Rodgers against the SFA shows how seriously they are taking the hearing.
It would be fascinating to see whether De Marco can utilize his magic to aid the Hoops as it is not common for a manager to be exonerated of charges following serious accusations.
The Northern Irishman would suffer a setback if he couldn’t be on the sidelines at Ibrox on April 7, since that game may be crucial in the fight for the championship.
Even though it’s ultimately up to the players to perform well on the field, making any significant choices during a game might be hampered by the manager’s absence from the dugout.
However, given how inconsistent the Parkhead team has been this season, some of its supporters may not mind if Rodgers didn’t take the lead.
