As European and Manchester City fixtures draw near, attention is on the player who was taken off during Arsenal’s 1-0 win against Spurs.

With European and Manchester City fixtures approaching, focus is on the star who was substituted during Arsenal’s 1-0 victory over Spurs.

Arsenal are reportedly ‘confident’ that their key player Bukayo Saka will be available for both their matches against Atalanta and Manchester City this week.

The England international left the field with an injury at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday, shortly after delivering a corner that led to Gabriel’s goal.

Heading into the game, Arteta was already missing several first-team players, including club captain Martin Odegaard. With Arsenal’s first Champions League match of the season and a visit to the Etihad on Sunday, the Gunners were keen to avoid any additional injuries this weekend.

Concerns increased when Saka asked to be substituted, and Arteta commented after the match: “Saka went down. I don’t know exactly what it is, but he said he could not continue.”

However, the situation is not as dire as initially feared. Recent reports suggest that Arsenal expect the England winger to be fit for both Atalanta and Man City. The Evening Standard indicates that the 23-year-old was experiencing cramps and should recover fully by Thursday.

Gabriel Jesus also offered some encouraging news regarding injuries by making a late substitute appearance on Sunday after recovering from his groin injury.

As Arsenal prepare for Thursday’s European match, they will see the return of Declan Rice, who missed Sunday’s game due to a red card against Brighton. However, Kieran Tierney (hamstring), Mikel Merino (shoulder), Takehiro Tomiyasu (knee), and Odegaard (ankle) will remain sidelined.

It is also uncertain whether Oleksandr Zinchenko and Riccardo Calafiori (both calf) will be fit to return for Thursday’s trip to Italy.
