The Dallas Cowboys’ season has taken a disappointing turn, contrasting their strong regular-season performance last year.
After a surprising Week 9 loss to the Atlanta Falcons, they now hold a 3-5 record, making it challenging to catch up in the playoff race. Although they’re not entirely out of contention, the team faces an uphill battle given the competitive state of their division and the NFC overall.
Amidst this struggle, former Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant recently expressed his doubts about the team’s Super Bowl potential under current head coach Mike McCarthy.
Posting on X, Bryant remarked, “If I’m being honest… The window has closed for a Super Bowl chance with McCarthy.” His statement reflects the growing criticism McCarthy has faced during his time in Dallas, especially after last season’s abrupt Wild Card playoff exit.
Many fans thought that loss might lead to his dismissal, pushing owner Jerry Jones to find a new head coach. However, McCarthy was given another chance, staying on for at least this season.
With the season slipping away, it remains uncertain if Jones will keep McCarthy if the team’s performance doesn’t improve quickly. The Cowboys have a roster packed with talent, yet without consistent wins, they might be forced to reassess their approach during the offseason.
