Everton team news: 3 doubts and 3 players ruled out of Ipswich Town clash

Everton are gearing up to face Ipswich Town after the international break, with several players still in training at Finch Farm. Only a handful of players were called up for international duty, including Orel Mangala (Belgium), Jordan Pickford (England), Idrissa Gueye (Senegal), and Iliman Ndiaye (Senegal).

This puts Everton in a strong position, but manager Sean Dyche is concerned about Ndiaye’s fitness after the forward was forced off with a knock during Senegal’s 4-0 win over Malawi.

Despite this, there is hope for the return of some players who missed the recent 1-1 draw with Newcastle United. Here is the latest update on Everton’s squad ahead of the Ipswich clash.

Jarrad Branthwaite remains a doubt after suffering a setback in training prior to the Newcastle game. The young defender, who returned to action against Crystal Palace, has missed the entire season up until now. According to The Athletic, Branthwaite’s return could be imminent, but the Ipswich match may come too soon.

Seamus Coleman, who has been sidelined since September after withdrawing from the clash against England, will remain out of action for a little longer, Dyche confirmed in his latest press conference. Coleman has missed four matches so far this season.

Nathan Patterson, on the other hand, could be set for a return. Although there has been no official announcement, Patterson has been spotted training with the first team, providing a potential boost at right-back after he recently played 90 minutes for the U21s.

Iliman Ndiaye, a major concern for Dyche, played 65 minutes before being substituted with what appeared to be a knock during Senegal’s recent match. He had earlier set up Pape Gueye’s goal but was replaced by Idrissa Gueye. His status for Everton’s next game remains unclear.

Youssef Chermiti, who underwent surgery after missing pre-season, is still out. The young forward is expected to return in November, as he steps up his recovery. He hasn’t featured since playing for Chelsea in their July pre-season tour in the U.S.
