    Warning.

The BMW CE 02 is an electric urban mobility vehicle designed to appeal to younger folks (with deep pockets) looking for easy transportation. It features a distinctive, minimalist design with a low seat height (think Honda’s Grom) making it easy to handle on busy streets. Here’s everything you need to know about BMW Motorrad’s 2024 CE 02. motorcycle, electric bike, nor a scooter. It is an “e-parkour,” says BMW. What we define it as is an urban transportation vehicle. This thing’s all-new for 2024 and retails in this specification for $9,069.

It’s powered by an electric motor, which is good for right around 40.5 lb.-ft. of torque. It puts power back to the rear 14-inch wheel with a direct drive transmission and a belt final drive. This thing is good for right around 60 mph and upwards of 50 miles of range. You can charge the battery from 0 percent to 80 percent in just three hours using a traditional three-prong household 120-volt power outlet.

This vehicle rolls on 14-inch wheels with dual disc brakes front and rear. The front disc brake is actuated with a traditional right-hand handlebar-mounted lever. The rear brake is actuated with a traditional right-side foot pedal. Like a motorcycle, it employs a right-hand twist-style throttle.

It weighs 291 pounds and is relatively small courtesy its 53-inch wheelbase. It rides on real motorcycle-style suspension with 4.6 inches of travel up front and 2.2 inches travel out back. And we have nice LED lighting front and rear and this cool color rectangular display which keeps tabs on all the vehicle information. In typical BMW fashion, there’s even heated grips.

We’ll see you in the next episode.
