Rafael Leao’s situation at AC Milan is currently less than ideal, with reports from Spain indicating that several clubs are closely monitoring the developments.
Milan’s recent 2-0 loss to Napoli has raised some concerns, one of which involves Leao. Despite the club’s insistence on a positive relationship, he was benched by Paulo Fonseca, and reports suggest things are “close to breaking point.”
A report from Fichajes claims Leao’s difficulties are drawing interest from Arsenal, Manchester United, and Paris Saint-Germain, who believe he might be available for €120 million or less, even though his release clause is set at €175 million.
Arsenal has been looking to upgrade on Gabriel Martinelli for some time, while Manchester United may consider Leao as a replacement for Marcus Rashford if they choose to sell him. PSG, known for pursuing top talent, also remains interested despite having Bradley Barcola.
SPORT also reports that Barcelona is still keeping an eye on Leao. The LaLiga leaders were heavily linked with him over the summer when it became clear they would not sign Nico Williams from Athletic Club.
However, with Barcelona, there’s always the added complication of needing to “pull levers” to balance their finances before being able to register a player, especially one with a high transfer cost.
