Arsenal are making a strong push to acquire highly regarded RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko, according to the Mirror.

The Gunners are actively seeking a top-tier striker, with names like Victor Osimhen and Viktor Gyokeres on their radar. However, Sesko has emerged as their primary target.
The Slovenian international delivered an outstanding performance for Leipzig, finishing the 2023/24 season with 18 goals and two assists in 42 appearances across all competitions.
His 14-goal tally in the Bundesliga is particularly impressive, given he wasn’t a regular starter until the second half of the season under Marco Rose.
Sesko has been on the radar of European scouts since his prolific stint with RB Salzburg in Austria.
Leipzig managed to secure him from their sister club, but the 20-year-old could be on the move again just a year later.
Widely regarded as one of the finest strikers of his generation, Arsenal are keen to bring him to the Emirates this summer.
Despite the consistent performance of their wide players, Arsenal’s need for a prolific centre-forward has been a point of discussion, especially after missing out on the Premier League title for two consecutive seasons.
With Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah falling short in the 2023/24 season, partly due to Jesus’s injury issues, Mikel Arteta relied on Kai Havertz in the centre-forward role. Havertz rewarded this trust with 13 goals and seven assists, marking his best-ever Premier League season.
Signing Sesko would be a significant move for Arsenal, although they will need to meet his £55 million release clause to compel Leipzig to sell.
They may also have to fend off interest from Premier League rivals Manchester United and Chelsea, who are also eyeing the striker.
