The Green Bay Packers recently released their first injury report for Week 15, showing that Jaire Alexander participated fully in practice last Wednesday. This is a significant update for the team, as Alexander had not been able to practice fully since aggravating a knee injury in Week 11.
The two-time Pro Bowler initially injured his knee during the Packers’ victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars in late October. Although he played against the Chicago Bears after the team’s bye week, he was only on the field for 10 snaps before being sidelined. He then missed games against the San Francisco 49ers, Miami Dolphins, and Detroit Lions.
In addition to Alexander, the Packers announced that Romeo Doubs was also a full participant in practice last Wednesday, but he remains in concussion protocol. Doubs, 24, has missed multiple games since sustaining the injury against the San Francisco 49ers.
Evan Williams and Edgerrin Cooper participated in limited practice, while Luke Musgrave has been removed from the injured reserve list.
Matt LaFleur, the Packers’ head coach, shared his thoughts on Alexander’s progress, emphasizing the importance of his return to the field. However, he stopped short of confirming whether Alexander would be ready to play against the Seattle Seahawks. “I have to go back and watch the tape, but when I was watching him, it looked like he was moving around well,” LaFleur said via Zach Kruse of the Packers Wire. “We’ll just see how it transpires throughout the week and hopefully he’ll be ready to roll.”
A fully healthy Jaire Alexander would provide a significant boost to the Packers’ secondary, especially with the challenge of facing Seattle’s receivers, including DK Metcalf, Tyler Lockett, and Jaxon Smith-Njigba.
