Three Trail Blazers players are nearing a return following the All-Star break.
The time off appears to have benefited Portland, as head coach Chauncey Billups told reporters today that Scoot Henderson, Jerami Grant, and Robert Williams III are “hopeful” to play against the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday.
“Chauncey Billups says Scoot Henderson, Jerami Grant, and Robert Williams III were all full participants today in practice. He’s hopeful they’ll all be able to go Thursday assuming they get through practice tomorrow.”
Henderson sat out the last game before the break against the Denver Nuggets due to a right ankle sprain, while Grant and Williams missed both matchups with Denver, each dealing with right knee soreness.
Meanwhile, Deandre Ayton remains sidelined as he recovers from a left calf strain, and defensive specialist Matisse Thybulle has yet to play this season due to a right ankle sprain.
The Blazers will face Luka Doncic and the Lakers at the Moda Center on Thursday at 7 p.m.
