Dallas Mavericks forward/center Maxi Kleber is set to miss significant time after breaking his right foot during the team’s 122-107 loss to the Boston Celtics on January 25, 2025. Kleber played 11 minutes in the game, contributing one point and one rebound before leaving due to the injury.

This development adds to the Mavericks’ injury woes, as they are already missing key players like Dwight Powell (hip) and Dereck Lively II (ankle). Additionally, Luka Doncic has been sidelined since Christmas Day with a left calf strain.

Head coach Jason Kidd acknowledged the team’s struggles, saying, “Yeah, it’s a hole. It’s tough… I’ve never seen anything like it, and it’s not gonna get any better, so, we’ll see.”

Kleber, 32, has averaged 3.0 points and 2.8 rebounds over 34 games this season. Over his eight-year career with Dallas, he has recorded averages of 6.4 points and 4.4 rebounds per game.
