Randal Kolo Muani has spoken about his situation at Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) amid speculation linking him to a potential move to Aston Villa. With the January transfer window now open, Villa has the chance to bolster Unai Emery’s squad before it closes on February 3.

According to L’Equipe (via Get Football News France), Villa is one of the latest clubs to express interest in the 26-year-old striker. Kolo Muani finds himself further down the pecking order at PSG, and it’s believed he may eventually be on his way out of the club.

The French forward is reportedly valued at €60 million (£50m). However, PSG is open to negotiating a loan deal with an option for a permanent transfer. Emery has emphasized that Villa will not make signings unless they bring significant value. He stated: “Only if we can get something to really help for the next month we are going to do it. We are going to be alert in case we have the possibility to add to our squad to do it. Always they (V Sports) are very involved with me, us, and Aston Villa. They want to enjoy each moment and how they can support us, how we can improve and increase our level.”

He continued, “Always they are trying to share with us the possibility to add or link players for the next month in the window. In January we are speaking about the possibility, but last year was similar; it is not an easy window.”

Kolo Muani, in an interview in November, expressed hope about his future at PSG. “You have to keep the mental side. It is up to me to continue to work so that the manager trusts in me. I am keeping my head on my shoulders and I’m going to continue to work,” he said. When asked if he still hoped to establish himself at PSG, he replied, “I hope so.”
