Jack Clarke’s estimated weekly wage at Ipswich Town since leaving Sunderland AFC.

Jack Clarke was a major asset for Sunderland during his two-and-a-half years at the Stadium of Light.

He had come to the team initially on loan from Tottenham Hotspur in the winter window of 2022, and he desperately needed a successful stint away from the English capital to get his career going.

While he might not have enjoyed his brief tenure on Wearside, he did make some significant contributions. For example, his help in the second leg of the League One play-off semi-final helped the Black Cats advance to the championship game.

They also made some wise additions to get ready for life in the Championship after their victory over Wycombe Wanderers at Wembley, including the permanent additions of Dan Ballard and Clarke.

It was uncertain if Clarke would be able to succeed after moving up to the second division.

But he took his game to a new level after signing permanently, proving to be the club’s most important player during the 2022/23 and 2023/24 seasons.

Despite missing a large portion of the previous campaign due to Ross Stewart’s absence, he and Amad Diallo proved to be instrumental in leading the Black Cats to a top-six finish at the end of the previous year.

Midway through the season, Ellis Simms was also called back, and the fact that they were still able to secure a play-off spot is testament to the effectiveness of players like Clarke and Diallo.

The next season, Winger Clarke increased his goal total to 15 league goals and made a significant impact once more.

The former Leeds United star had two years remaining on his deal at the Stadium of Light over the summer, and given that the wide player had been performing well for the previous two years, it was likely that he would

In came Premier League new boys Ipswich Town, who managed to wrap up a £20m deal for the 23-year-old back in August.

How much Jack Clarke is estimated to be earning at Ipswich Town

Clarke’s weekly salary at Portman Road is thought to be £25,000, according to Capology.

Comparable signings from English second-tier teams during the summer transfer window include Jacob Greaves, Arijanet Muric, Chiedozie Ogbene, Dara O’Shea, and Sammie Szmodics.

Two of the six Ipswich players who have an estimated salary higher than Clarke are on loan.

The loan pair consists of Jens Cajuste and Kalvin Phillips; the former is expected to make £150,000 per week.

Though Manchester City most likely has the resources to cover a sizable amount of Phillips’ contract, it would be tough to imagine Ipswich covering much of his compensation.

Given this, Clarke likely makes more money at Portman than most other employees.

How Jack Clarke is currently getting on at Ipswich Town since Sunderland departure

Clarke’s time in Suffolk has been relatively unremarkable thus far; he has started two games from the substitute bench and lost the Carbabao Cup versus AFC Wimbledon.

Although he hasn’t scored or assisted for Kieran McKenna’s team yet, he hasn’t had many chances to show off his skills.

And he will only become better as he gets used to life at Portman Road.

When the Tractor Boys played in Brighton last weekend, he amazed the crowd, and that might be a good indication of things to come.
