Jordan Love drops a major hint about his status for Packers vs. Vikings in Week 4

The Green Bay Packers have managed to win both games without Jordan Love, but with a crucial divisional game against the Minnesota Vikings approaching in Week 4, they’re eager to have their quarterback back.

Love practiced on Wednesday, continuing from a full practice week last week. He was labeled as questionable on the Week 3 injury report, but the team chose to rest him. In his absence, Malik Willis excelled against the Tennessee Titans, leading the Packers to a second straight victory.

Ian Rapoport from NFL Network shared an optimistic update, suggesting it would “make sense” for Love to return this week against Minnesota.

After Wednesday’s practice, Love hinted at his potential comeback. He mentioned that he is “moving better and improving each day” and, when asked about his availability for last week’s game, he stated: “I was pretty close.”

He added, “We’re building it up for sure. Every day is a little bit better,” and confirmed he is “definitely” moving better.

If Love was “pretty close” to playing against the Titans, it stands to reason that an additional week of recovery could facilitate his return. Initial assessments after his sprained MCL indicated he could be out for three to six weeks.

Returning this week would mean Love missed just two games, which is ahead of that timeline, although Sunday marks 23 days since his injury in Brazil.

As long as he doesn’t risk aggravating the injury, it seems likely that he will play this week. Ultimately, it will depend on his comfort and mobility, but footage from practice suggests he is moving well.

While the Packers keep their plans under wraps, indications point toward a potential return for Love this week.
