Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce seems to be living an enviable life. As a future Hall of Famer playing for the back-to-back Super Bowl champions, his professional career is already stellar. Beyond football, Kelce co-hosts a highly successful podcast with his brother, Jason Kelce, another future Hall of Fame center. Adding to this, he is currently dating Taylor Swift, one of the most popular entertainers in the world.
Over the past year, Kelce’s relationship with the 14-time Grammy Award winner has significantly boosted his own popularity. He has traveled extensively to support her during the Eras Tour, leading to numerous extraordinary experiences.
Currently, Swift’s international Eras Tour has taken her to England, where the Kelce brothers flew to London to attend some of her shows. Following one concert, they had the unique opportunity to meet Prince William and his family.
Upon returning, the Kelce brothers recounted their experience on their New Heights podcast.
Travis Kelce described meeting Prince William, saying, “He was so cool. Obviously, we were backstage meeting him. He was there with little George and Charlotte. They were an absolute delight to meet. Wasn’t sure if I was supposed to bow to them, curtsy, just be an American idiot and shake their hand.”
For Kelce, this was the second significant political figure he encountered this offseason. Earlier in the month, the Chiefs visited the White House, where Kelce had a humorous moment with President Joe Biden, joking about his fear of being tased by the Secret Service.
During their podcast, the elder Kelce brother shared which member of Prince William’s family he enjoyed meeting the most:
“I gotta say, Prince William was fantastic meeting him. But the highlight was Princess Charlotte. She was so f—ing adorable. I don’t know, maybe it’s because I have three girls now. She had fire to her, she was asking questions.”
