Although Lowry’s numbers—averaging just four points and 2.8 assists per game with the Philadelphia 76ers—may not stand out, his impact goes beyond the stat sheet.
New York would benefit from a player like Lowry, known for his ability to draw charges and play relentless defense. The Philadelphia native could make the league’s most clutch team even more formidable on the defensive end.
Offensively, Lowry has the potential to return to double-digit scoring, something he last achieved in the 2022-23 season when he averaged 11.2 points, 5.1 assists, 4.1 rebounds, and one steal per game.
