The Lakers’ LeBron James and Anthony Davis have both been labelled as doubtful for the game.

LeBron James and Anthony Davis are concerned about the Lakers. The Los Angeles Lakers are heading to the Play-In Tournament. The Golden State Warriors’ victory over the Houston Rockets a few days earlier ensured their berth in the playoffs.
However, LA has greater objectives than the Play-In. They are still within striking distance of the sixth spot, which would earn them automatic admission into the playoffs.
As always, the Lakers’ fate is dependent on two men: Anthony Davis and LeBron James. Both players have been on the injury report for the majority of their Lakers careers. Both LeBron James and Anthony Davis are labelled as doubtful for the next game against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
The Cavaliers have been quietly grinding along this season. They’ve never challenged the Boston Celtics for the top spot, but they’ve been excellent. The Lakers have their job cut out for them, especially if both LeBron and AD skip the game.
Nonetheless, both AD and LeBron should continue to play the game. Both stars participated in the team’s most recent victory over the Wizards, which was 125-120. Davis scored 35 points and 18 rebounds, while Bron had a solid 25-9-7 performance. It’s going to be an intriguing night for the Lakers anyway.
The Lakers’ drive for postseason play This season, the Lakers have followed an unusual track. Yes, there were instances when this squad appeared to be absolutely lost.
That alone is perplexing: they have a really good group, with several excellent role players surrounding LeBron and AD. The triumph against the poor Wizards demonstrates this: failing to defeat the league’s lowest club in the fourth quarter is alarming.
When they compete against the league’s greatest teams, however, the Lakers lift their game. LeBron and AD are two of the top postseason performers in the NBA, and it shows in their performance against the “big guys”.
This combination is extremely difficult to stop when they are performing at their prime. Between AD’s strong defence and the offence clicking… yeeesh.
With the Rockets’ loss against the Warriors, the former club is almost out of the Play-In Picture. This will allow the Lakers to relax a little and concentrate on the sixth seed. The 6-9 seeds are now at a standstill, with the Phoenix Suns, New Orleans Pelicans, Sacramento Kings, and Los Angeles Lakers all vying for the final playoff place.
Getting that slot is an automatic trip to the playoffs, avoiding the pain that is the Play-In Tournament.
Now, the Lakers can surely win the Play-In. We saw them do the same thing throughout the postseason last year. However, it was painfully obvious that they ran out of steam as they reached the Western Conference Finals.
To avoid repeating the calamity, Los Angeles will need to secure the sixth seed. It’s only two games, after all. At the absolute least, they want to avoid the ninth seed, which would give them a chance to progress from the Play-In with just one win.
