Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino is apparently “finished” at Stamford Bridge, with one prospective successor “available for negotiations.”

Pochettino says Chelsea can be “so bad”

Pochettino’s debut season at Stamford Bridge has not gone well, with Tuesday’s 5-0 defeat to Arsenal the most recent setback for the Blues. After the game, Pochettino criticized his team’s inconsistency, stating, “We are showing this inconsistency, and that is why we are where we are.”

“We are able to have an amazing performance [against Man City] and then one like this. When we have bad days, we are so bad. “It’s difficult to talk. We are talking after last season in the same way.”

“We put in a fantastic performance at Wembley and then today, you can lose a game at Arsenal but in the way we competed, why one day, three days ago and then today in this way? For the circumstance, we needed to make changes for different reasons. Then it is about consistency.”

Now, there are speculations of another shift in the Stamford Bridge dugout, with Brighton & Hove Albion manager Roberto De Zerbi connected with a transfer to London. He’s regarded to be the main target, although another name is “available”.

Pochettino “finished” at Chelsea with Amorim “available”

TEAMtalk posted a huge report from Chelsea in the previous 48 hours, warning that the crushing defeat to Arsenal might be deadly for Pochettino. In fact, numerous squad players and the board feel Pochettino is “finished” as Chelsea’s manager, with the loss at the Emirates sparking a “major uproar” behind the scenes.

Several players believe the Argentine’s position is untenable and that he is a “dead man walking,” with the Blues informed that Sporting CP manager Ruben Amorim is “open to negotiations.”

Amorim has been strongly linked with a move to England this summer, including Liverpool, West Ham, and Manchester United, and it appears that Chelsea is the newest prospective destination for the Sporting CP boss ahead of the 2024/25 season.

The 39-year-old was briefly in command of SC Braga before taking over at Sporting in 2020, and he has made a significant impact, winning four trophies with his present employers. Amorim, who uses a 3-4-3 system, is also on track to win the league and cup double before perhaps leaving this summer.

Tottenham right-back Pedro Porro recently praised him as a “great coach” after hearing whispers of a potential move to England. “Everyone knows what a fantastic coach he is; he does things really well, and he’s an excellent coach. I wish him the best and have only positive things to say about him.”
