Manchester United legend Dwight Yorke has taken a weird shot at Mikel Arteta, accusing him of dyeing his hair.
Before focusing on the Spaniard, Yorke, 52, suggested Arsenal is experiencing a psychological collapse. Yorke remarked that Arteta’s hair couldn’t be as dark as it is at 42 years old. Speaking to TVSportGuide, the former Premier League striker said: “Will Arteta start sprouting gray hairs? If you color your hair every day, you will not be able to notice any grey hairs. Arteta will not allow that to happen. “Your hair can’t be that dark at that age.”
Yorke continued, “Arsenal’s annual collapse in April is concerning for the club.” Every time they get to the conclusion of the season, they lose some critical games.
“It’s a psychological reason, since they were playing some of the finest football in the league a few weeks ago, scoring at least four goals each game, so it’s an astonishing turnaround. The players, including Mikel Arteta, are feeling the pressure.
“We typically see the manager racing up and down the touchline, but it appears that he has run out of energy. Arteta must exercise caution; he appears to have shifted into a protective state, and his body language has changed from a month ago.
“Compare his body language in interviews and on the pitch, and tell me you don’t notice a difference. The pressure is likely to come back to haunt him, and Arsenal will suffer as a result. His interviews are not as intense as they formerly were.
Arsenal are now in a title race with Liverpool and Manchester City, but slip-ups from the Gunners and the Reds have seen City gain pole position for the crown in recent weeks.
