Minnesota Timberwolves’ superstar Anthony Edwards soared to incredible heights this past season, despite it being only his fourth year in the NBA. The 22-year-old seems poised to reach even greater heights, thanks to the influence of none other than LeBron James.
Anthony Edwards of the Minnesota Timberwolves will soon be a prominent figure in a Netflix series, according to NBA insider Shams Charania of The Athletic. Charania reported on Monday that Edwards is set to star in an upcoming Netflix show slated for release in the fall:
“Timberwolves All-NBA guard Anthony Edwards is apparently a major star of the new NBA show on Netflix set to release in the fall, according to industry sources,” Shams reported.
Details about the show are scarce, but it’s clear that Edwards is “expected to be the breakaway act” in a series that also features NBA icons LeBron James, Jayson Tatum, Jimmy Butler, and Domantas Sabonis.
LeBron James’ involvement doesn’t stop at just appearing in the show. His media company, SpringHill Company, spearheaded the production, collaborating with Barack Obama’s Higher Ground Productions and Peyton Manning’s Omaha Productions. The show takes inspiration from Netflix’s successful NFL series ‘Quarterback.’
With such a star-studded production team and Anthony Edwards at the helm, this series is bound to be a resounding success.
