After an encouraging loan spell at Ipswich Town, Jens Cajuste is reportedly drawing attention from Aston Villa. The midfielder impressed during his time in the Championship and is now set to return to Napoli for preseason, though his future remains uncertain.
According to AreaNapoli, Napoli boss Antonio Conte “doesn’t see Cajuste as a tactical fit” for his system. This has opened the door for clubs like Aston Villa to consider a move for the Swedish international.
Napoli have placed a €10 million price tag on Cajuste, and while Udinese are also interested, completing a deal there appears to be complicated. That could offer Aston Villa a better chance of landing the 25-year-old, although they would need to fend off interest from Ligue 1 sides as well.
Ipswich Town had earlier attempted to negotiate a discounted fee to keep Cajuste, as they were reportedly obligated to buy him outright if they had stayed in the Premier League. Cajuste featured in 33 matches for Ipswich during the 2024/25 season.
