Luke Adams reported via Hoops Rumors that the Houston Rockets have agreed to re-sign Aaron Holiday and Jeff Green on one-year, minimum-salary contracts. The update comes from The Athletic’s Kelly Iko (via Twitter).

This news aligns with previous reports from Friday, which indicated that the team planned to bring back both players—along with free agent forward Jae’Sean Tate—on minimum or near-minimum deals. Earlier in the day, Tate agreed to a one-year, $3 million contract with the Rockets.

Holiday, who has spent the last two seasons in Houston, served as a reliable backup point guard in 2024–25, posting averages of 5.5 points, 1.3 assists, and 1.3 rebounds per game while shooting .437 from the field, .398 from three, and .829 from the free-throw line. Despite a solid year, his playing time dropped to just 12.8 minutes per game—a career low.

While Houston continues to value Holiday, the team declined his $4.9 million option in favor of a more budget-conscious move. The new deal results in a $2.3 million cap hit for the 28-year-old in the upcoming season.

Green, meanwhile, also saw his minutes decrease last season, averaging 12.4 minutes over 32 games—his lowest mark yet. Still, the 37-year-old maintained a respectable stat line of 5.4 points and 1.8 rebounds per game, shooting .504 from the field, .367 from beyond the arc, and .808 from the line. More importantly, he remains a strong veteran presence in the locker room.

The Rockets still have one big decision left: whether to guarantee Jock Landale’s $8 million salary for 2025–26. If waived, Houston would unlock the full non-taxpayer mid-level exception, valued at $14.1 million.
