Tom Brady has expressed his belief that the Kansas City Chiefs are the best team in the NFL following the first two weeks of the 2024 regular season.

He placed Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs at the top of his personal power rankings, asserting that they should remain the top team until someone defeats them.

“Again, for two weeks in a row, the Kansas City Chiefs are off to a 2-0 start. Wasn’t their prettiest win against Cincinnati, but great teams find ways to win,” Brady remarked. He emphasized that “until you beat the champs, they’re still going to be number one in my book,” highlighting his respect for the reigning Super Bowl champions.

The Chiefs have successfully navigated two challenging matchups so far. They began their Super Bowl defense with a solid 27-20 victory over the Baltimore Ravens in Week 1, followed by a nail-biting 26-25 win against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 2, both games played at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium.

Despite their unbeaten record and Brady’s endorsement, the Chiefs do have some vulnerabilities. They rank in the bottom half of the NFL, allowing an average of 22.5 points per game. Additionally, they have committed four turnovers, placing them among the teams with the second-most turnovers in the league.

Nonetheless, the Chiefs’ 2-0 record is indicative of their resilience and ability to secure wins even when they aren’t performing at their peak. Their knack for finding ways to triumph, even in less-than-ideal circumstances, speaks to their character as a team.

Brady’s assessment of the Chiefs aligns with their performance thus far, underscoring their status as a formidable opponent in the league. As the season progresses, the Chiefs will need to address their defensive lapses and turnover issues, but their current record suggests that they possess the capability to overcome these challenges.

Overall, the Kansas City Chiefs have proven themselves as a top contender early in the season, and with Brady’s backing, they remain a team to watch closely. As they prepare for their upcoming games, their ability to continue winning will be crucial in maintaining their position at the top of the league rankings.
